When Emma came to me, she was ready to launch her new consultancy business and knew how important it was to start with a solid foundation. She didn’t want to settle for a Canva template logo (and quite rightly so!)—she wanted a brand that felt personal, purposeful, and completely aligned with her values.

Together, we uncovered her story—what made her different, what drove her, and who she most wanted to work with. We explored her audience and identified her dream clients so we could tailor a visual identity that would resonate and feel right at home in her world.

From there, we crafted a brand mission, vision, and purpose. Inspired by her love of the outdoors, Fieldfare Communications was born. The Fieldfare—a purposeful, determined bird—perfectly embodied Emma’s values of fairness, clarity, and integrity. It became the heart of her brand story.

For the logotype, I selected a soft-serif typeface with gently rounded letterforms—adding a touch of warmth and personality while keeping things professional. I customised the letter ‘f’ with a wavy embellishment—its fluid shape inspired by the Fieldfare bird in flight, with the arm of the ‘f’ cutting through the main body of the letterform – to mimic Emma’s approach to her business : cutting through corporate noise to make communication clear and accessible for employees.

The submark was shaped from the silhouette of the Fieldfare’s speckled breast—a distinctive and memorable mark that will build brand recognition as her business grows. We chose a colour palette of earthy, muted tones—grounded in nature and intentionally distinct from the typical corporate blues seen in her field. It strikes a balance between strength and approachability, helping her stand out while staying true to herself.

From brand strategy to mood boards and a considered, intentional identity, Emma now has a brand she can show off proudly—one that reflects her expertise, her values, and the impact she’s here to make.
